What is cavity wall insulation?
How does cavity wall insulation work?
Our installers will drill small ~22mm wide holes at intervals around the outside of your property. Through these holes, we inject tiny polystyrene beads, which prevent up to 70% of heat loss through your walls and excel at filling tight cavity spaces that might be missed by insulating wool or foam. The beads are bonded with an adhesive into a strong layer of insulation, and we fill the drill holes with colour-matching mortar mix to an almost invisible finish. And that’s it!
SCIS Imperial beads
We use our own brand of polystyrene insulation beads, SCIS Imperial beads, which are 20% more efficient than traditional insulation. These beads are highly durable, water-resistant and rot-proof. Our install process ensures 100% cavity fill with no cold spots and minimal drill holes required, and because the beads are injected directly into the cavity, there’s no leftover waste to clean up. Imperial beads are BBA approved with a 25-year guarantee.
